Beginning in early February, 2008, a Leadership/Management training will be held for district health care professionals in Blue Nile State (BNS) in Sudan, in conjunction with the Federal Ministry of Health's Public Health Institute (PHI), and the World Health Organization (WHO). The training will include a mentor training, three months of mentored practical experience for participants, and a follow-up workshop on lessons learned. The goal is to strengthen the leadership and management skills of district health workers in BNS while also supporting enhanced training capacity of the PHI.
