Vinoy Ohdar, PLP Fellow from cohort 7, through his work with Action Aid has conducted a study on the status of primary health care in Bihar State, India, after the National Rural Health Mission program was put in effect. Action Aid conducted a sample study of of 100 Health Sub Centers and the findings were presented before policymakers on the 26th of November in Patna. The report presentation was followed by a Public Hearing, photographed here. The Public hearing was attended by members of the Planning Commission Government of India, members of the National Human Rights Commission, and a former Justice of Patna High Court. Action Aid saw the Public Hearing as a tool to influence the state policies.
