The goal of the trainings was to strengthen leadership/management capacity among healthcare managers and directors at the district and state level in BNS MoH and to promote greater interaction between the FMoH and BNS MoH. The training schedule was as follows: February 1: Mentor training for FMoH professionals who are serving as mentors to the BNS L/M participants. Eight mentors attended and were assigned 2-3 mentees each. February 2-6: The first of two L/M trainings. Part I focused on individual leadership skill development, culture and communication, values, team building, leading through change, grant writing, and digital public health storytelling. Twenty-two participants, all working with the BNS MoH from Roseires and Damazin and selected by the BNS MoH attended the L/M training. Part II will be held May 4-8, 2008 in Blue Nile State.
